Who is Rocking The Daisies

The brief: SA’s biggest music festival, Rocking the Daisies (sponsored by Superbalist), wanted to increase attendance – amid not only a declining trend in traditional band-centric festivals, but also an economic downturn. 

Our goal was to use social media to drive awareness and conversation while navigating the small (very small) ad budget.


What was the ask?

Our role in the business:

A creative campaign aimed at getting social participation, user-generated content by driving the concept of FOMO, and ultimately, building brand advocacy and advocates. 

The high-touch social media campaign engaged fans 24/7 for six months. We focussed on only relevant channels and platforms as a medium was critical to reaching the right youth markets.

How we delivered:

The result was an increase of 7% in festival attendance off a high base. 

And let’s not forget the economic downturn.

Results: 

Reach > 184% to over 600 000 000

Attendance > 7% increase during hard times

AVE > 220% increase to over R157M
