Why Glenfiddich? 

Glenfiddich Whisky, a traditional Scotch with legacy and history, needed to be brought into the present with a dose of excitement and technology.

What we gave them was an award-winning experiential activation unlike the brand had seen, or done, before.


Our role in the business:

The Glenfiddich Independent Bar was launched in Johannesburg, where the target market was most prevalent, with the aim of redefining the whisky-drinking experience. 

We developed an interactive sound installation, utilising biometric technology to create unique whisky cocktails based on the characteristics of the individual’s voice. 

As guests arrived at the bar, they were invited to record their names into the device, which analysed each voice according to criteria of pitch, volume, timbre and smoothness. A highly-personalised and unique signature-serve was crafted, ultimately creating a bespoke Glenfiddich cocktail for each guest based on their voice, highlighting the brand’s bold ‘speak your truth’ attitude.  

Users were able to request an invitation to the Independent Bar on our branded platform. 

A bespoke app for the bar itself, captured each customer’s biometric data to create a personalised cocktail. 

Voice visualisations were sent via SMS, allowing users to share their unique analytics.
