Who is CitiesWithNature?

CitiesWithNature is a unique initiative that recognises and enhances the value of nature in and around cities across the world. It provides a shared platform for cities and their partners to engage and connect, working with a shared commitment towards a more sustainable urban world.

What was the ask?

When CWN came to us, they were in need of a robust platform that could handle all of the traffic they could ever want. It needed social community opportunities, goals-based interaction, content-sharing capabilities and well, so much more – the possibilities and requirements were endless.   

Challenges

There were 2 major challenges that we faced when beginning this partnership: working with and improving on the massively underequipped existing platform, working with a team situated across the globe and scoping out a project with a foreseeable multi-year rollout plan. Not to mention a 17-phase pitch process to get through before we could even start.

How we delivered:

First and foremost, we set up a relationship of trust and valued opinions by clearly outlining what was possible but also feasible with the requirements needed. 

We created a 2-year project plan to strategise, UX and UI design, and develop the 3 main platforms to make this ‘website’ a success.

That was over 3 years ago. 

We consistently and constantly work together with the CWN team to evolve and better equip the platform to inform and engage new and existing cities from around the world. 

It is an evergrowing platform, project and relationship based on valued input from all parties and a passion to do better.
